GUWAHATI: In an operation, a team of officials of the Bureau of Investigations for Economic Offences (BIEO) conducted an enforcement drive against the illicit sale of liquor. The raid was conducted at Raj Dhaba in Lalmati.
According to sources, upon conducting the raid, a huge consignment of illicit liquor was recovered, which included seven cartons of whisky and a large number of beer bottles that were kept hidden.
In this connection, two have been detained, identified as Mithun Nath and Mafizuddin. The officials have not been able to catch the owner of the dhaba, as he is on the run.
