GUWAHATI: The BJP Mahila Morcha executive meeting concluded on Sunday. In the meeting, important resolutions were taken, and these resolutions outlined the achievements of the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. For the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Morcha decided to work actively for them.

One of the resolutions said that the crime against women has increased, especially in the states ruled by the opposition. One resolution speaks about the Manipur issue. The resolution stated that "the shocking visuals from Manipur were appalling and extremely distressing. No words are enough to condemn this. The culprits should be punished, and we will make sure justice is done for those women. The Mahila Morcha has always extended helping hands to the victims, but it is also a matter of concern that the opposition is selectively politicizing the crime against women across the nation."

Another resolution stated that "BJP Mahila Morcha aims to make a difference from women's empowerment to women-led development, economic growth, and social justice to national security and international diplomacy. Morcha invited all its members, supporters, and well-wishers to join. In this endeavour, as we work tirelessly to make India a beacon of progress, unity, and global leadership, BJP Mahila Morcha has reaffirmed the commandment of bringing back victory again in favour of BJP in Lok Sabha in 2024 by reaching out to 'Aadhi Aabadi' through various mega outreach programmes. The Mahila Morcha is making sure to have a hat-trick for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has an extremely progressive vision for women."

Attending as a chief guest, Himanta Biswa Sarma, said the Northeast has undergone an unimagined transformation and connectivity after 2014. Transformation can be seen in every part of the Northeast region, and every rural area has seen many changes in development. It is a proud moment for our country, as it has organized such a big event as the G20. The Chief Minister said that the event could become a success only because of the devotion and groundwork laid by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

Furthermore, CM Sarma praised the Prime Minister, saying that Narendra Modi is already a Vishwaguru, and highlighted how the nation has prospered under his reign. He said that it is the duty of every Indian to ensure that he becomes Prime Minister again for the third time.

The CM also spoke about child marriage, informing that so far, as many as 5,000 people have been arrested in connection with complaints regarding child marriage. He said, "As of now, over 5,000 people have been arrested, and another two to three thousand are likely to be arrested when we intensify our operations after the G20." He also highlighted during his speech that the BJP government has done much more for Muslims than the Congress did during their years in power.

CM further stated that India completed its 75 years of independence, but our country also celebrated its 25 or 50 years, but earlier the then government did not celebrate it with such great joy, engaging in other activities. But on its 75th anniversary, the Modi-led government is taking every step to make it a huge celebration.

The executive meeting also decided to organize Yuvati Sanmilan in every legislative constituency in the country. It will first be organised in those five states where forthcoming assembly elections will be held. The BJP state Mahila Morcha will conduct Naw Buwari Sanmilan in every Lok Sabha constituency.
