GUWAHATI: With the clean sweep by the BJP in the TAC (Tiwa Autonomous Council) poll a festive-like situation has been prevailing in the BJP camp in the State.

State BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass termed the win of the party as the victory of the Tiwa population in the State. The back-to-back win of the BJP in the BTC and the TAC polls in the State reflects people's support to the party, said Dass. He thanked Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, NEDA (North East Democratic Alliance) convener Himanta Biswa Sarma, and all party leaders and workers associated with the TAC poll for the win.
