Assam BJP president Ranjit Kumar Dass who is on a 10-day tour to Barak Valley
said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win 13 seats out of the 15 seats in
Barak Valley in the upcoming Assam assembly election.
Speaking to a media Assam BJP president Ranjit Kumar Dass said, "I am here on a 10-day tour. There are total 15 constituencies in Barak and I think BJP will win at least 13 seats in the upcoming Assam assembly election."
Dass during his trip address 11 public gatherings and will visit the left-out constituencies in January next year.
There are total 15 constituencies in Barak Valley of Assam- Katlicherra, Algapur, Badarpur, Hailakandi, Karimganj South, Karimganj
North, Lakhipur, Sonai, Patharkandi, Katigorah, Ratabari, Dholai, Udharbond,
Silchar, and Barkhola.
In the 2016 Assam Legislative Assembly Election BJP had won 8 seats from Barak Valley:

In the 2019 general election, BJP candidates won both the Karimganj and Silchar seats of Barak Valley. The party managed to win 9 out of the 14 seats in Assam.
Dass further claimed that BJP has already 87 seats and
17 more seats will be added, hence, BJP will win a total of 103 seats in the
upcoming Vidhan Sabha election in Assam.
The state BJP president confirmed that the alliance
between Bharatiya Janata Party and United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) will
continue for the upcoming Vidhan Sabha election.
"We have a partnership with the UPPL, and so there is no possibility of partnership or alliance with the Bodoland Peoples' Front (BPF)," he added.
He also stated that BJP will win in Nazira, Sibsagar, Naoboicha, Titabar, Doom Dooma, and Golaghat constituencies of Upper Assam due to the Congress-AIUDF alliance.
