Book exhibition to be held at Pragjyotish College in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: In a tribute to the late former principal, Dr. Bhagawan Chandra Maral, and litterateur Sushil Sarma, Praktan Pragjyotishya Sanmilani is set to host a two-day book exhibition at Pragjyotish College on January 29th and 30th. The exhibition aims to foster a love for literature and knowledge, reflecting the values upheld by Dr. Maral and Sushil Sarma.
In addition to the book exhibition, the college’s alumni are launching a monthly wall magazine, providing a creative space for students to showcase their literary talents at the institution.
On January 30th, an inter-college debate competition will be held in memory of Chandan Sarma, a former student of Pragjyotish College. The topic for debate is “A minimum educational qualification must be kept for nomination to the Legislative and the councils.”
Praktan Pragjyotishya Sanmilani will honour the top performers of the academic year 2023-24 with consolation prizes, announced by the president Dewan Dhruba Jyoti Maral.
