GUWAHATI: A day-long boot camp was organized here on Wednesday for the trainers who will be engaged in imparting Soft Skills training to all the Police Station Staff of Assam Police.
The boot camp was organized by Hero Mindmine, a Delhi-based organization which was chosen for the purpose by an open tender process, under the MOITRI Scheme, stated a release.
The Trainers' workshop was inaugurated by Assam Director General of Police Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta. Among the eminent speakers and participants in the workshop were former APSC Chairman Pallab Bhattarcharjya, former DG of Indian Defence Estate Jayneshwar Sharma, ADGP (TAP) L.R Bishnoi, Author and Writer Dr. Akashi Tora, leading trainers Dipanka Mahanta and Diganta Sarma, and journalist and writer Mridul Kr. Handique.
The soft skills training covered topics like -- personality development, interpersonal relations, communication in organization (verbal & non verbal), stress management, motivation, active listening, conflict management, performance appraisal, gender sensitization, etc.
