'Booth kibaat' by Bharatiya Janata Party Assam Pradesh

Taking a cue from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat', the BJP Assam Pradesh has also started its own 'booth kibaat'.

GUWAHATI: Taking a cue from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat', the BJP Assam Pradesh has also started its own 'booth kibaat'. The two programmes went simultaneously on Sunday. The 'booth kibaat' programme was organized in as many as 28,000 booth committees of the BJP in the State on Sunday. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal was present at 161 booths in Dibrugarh LAC on Sunday when he asked party workers to work with fresh vigour to strengthen the party base in the State.

While State BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass was present at the 'booth kibaat' programme in 160 booths in Barpeta Road, NEDA (North-East Democratic Alliance) convener Himanta Biswa Sarma was present in 98 booths at BezeraMandal under Amingaon in Kamrup district.
