GUWAHATI: A patient at B. Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI) was tested COVID-19 positive on Friday. The patient was admitted to the cancer institute for the purpose of undergoing a surgery. As per the COVID safety protocols, he was first admitted to an isolation ward at BBCI and his swab was collected for COVID testing. The hospital authorities have said since the patient was an isolation ward, there is no need for other patients and their attendants to become panic.
