Chartered Accountants organize CPE event in Guwahati city

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Branch of the Eastern India Regional Council (EIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) conducted a 3-hour Continuing Professional Education (CPE) event on Emerging Practice Area: "Producer Companies: Complete Incorporation Process and Post Incorporation Compliances" recently at the institute's premises at Manik Nagar, Guwahati.

According to a press release, the session was initiated by CPE chairman CA Jay Prakash Gupta. Branch chairman CA Gaurab Garodia informed the participants about the importance of producer companies in the current scenario in view of Central Government as well as State Government schemes and also informed about future programmes to be undertaken next month under the CPE Committee of the Branch.

The speakers for the session were CA Vinod Agarwal, who diligently covered various aspects as regards the complete incorporation process of producer companies, and post-incorporation compliance was deliberated upon by CA Lakshajit Gogoi.

The programme was attended by a large number of participants, including the past chairman and chairperson of the Guwahati Branch. The programme ended with a formal vote of thanks by branch secretary CA Saurabh Choudhary.
