CID of Assam Police apprehended two more in Bajali corruption case

The Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Assam Police apprehended two more people on Thursday in relation to the ongoing investigation into the Bajali Corruption Case.

GUWAHATI: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Assam Police apprehended two more people on Thursday in relation to the ongoing investigation into the Bajali Corruption Case.

The CID team was able to apprehend one linkman and a broker. They were identified as Sadekkas Ali, a close aide of SI Debajit Giri, and Dilbar Hussain, a linkman to Additional Superintendent of Police Gayatri Sonowal. It was also informed that the CID is currently interrogating the apprehended persons in relation to the case.

The ongoing probe into the Bajali corruption case underscores the commitment of the Assam police to root out corruption and uphold the law. The CID, in particular, is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to bring those involved in this alleged corruption scandal to justice, and several people have been apprehended so far in this regard.
