Guwahati: Former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi's condition is critical but 'Hemodynamically stable'. Assam Finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Gogoi.
"Multi-organ failure has begun. We have given all possible medication. Next 48 hours is critical. We are hoping that he will respond to the medication. He has been put on mechanical ventilation," Dr Abhijit Sharma, Superintendent of Guwahati Medical College and Hospital said.
Minister Sarma has asked the doctors at GMCH to do all that is needed and possible to do to ease the health condition of the veteran leader.
The veteran Congress leader has been in and out of the hospital since he had tested positive for COVID in August.
Assam Chief Secretary Jishnu Barua, Assam Congress Vice President Pradyut Bordoloi and Gaurav Gogoi, Congress MP from Kaliabor and Tarun Gogoi's son visited the veteran leader.
