CS (Chief Secretary) Jishnu Barua inaugurates 'Coloured Memories' in Guwahati

‘CoIored Memories’ -- a two-day exhibition- cum-sale of over 70 oil paintings -- commenced at the India Club, Ambari here from Friday. The paintings have been created by the artist Ranjan Choudhury.

GUWAHATI: 'CoIored Memories' -- a two-day exhibition- cum-sale of over 70 oil paintings -- commenced at the India Club, Ambari here from Friday. The paintings have been created by the artist Ranjan Choudhury. The painter reflects on his travels and experiences of places and people while being in self containment during the country-wide lockdown. The painting exhibition was inaugurated by the CS (Chief Secretary), Government of Assam, Jishnu Barua in the presence of an august gathering.

CS Barua lauded the efforts made by Choudhury using the creative medium of fine arts to raise funds for charity works; and wished him success in this endeavour. Ranjan Choudhury creates striking landscapes and abstract art using oil as a medium. Artist Choudhury is also a prolific writer of short stories.
