DC (Kamrup) inaugurated two RO system drinking water facilities

 GUWAHATI: Taking a step towards encouraging the corporate sectors of the district for taking more initiatives in socio-economic sector especially in Education, Health etc., the Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup today dedicated two R.O. System Water Supply facilities in two government schools of the district. These two R.O. System Water Supply facilities were installed at Pantan High School and Muduki High School by Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages under its CSR initiatives, stated a press release.

Inaugurating and dedicating the R.O. System of drinking water facilities in two government schools of the district, the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup accorded special thanks to the officials of Coca-Cola Beverages for taking a fruitful initiatives under their CSR initiatives. This initiative will not only benefit more than 1000 students of the schools, but will help the villagers also for obtaining safe and pure drinking water. She also hoped that success of these project implemented by Coca-Cola Beverages under CSR would encourage the other corporate sector also to come forward for taking more initiatives in socio-economic sector.

With a capacity of 250 liter per hour, the RO systems apart from overhead tanks, filter tanks and submersible pumps are also equipped with Iron Removal Filter, Multiport Valves, and Multi Grade Filter for treatment of 19 different quality parameters. The most striking feature of the water vending machines are the borewells that are dug deep enough to ensure round the year long availability of safe drinking water in the schools that are situated on the hilly terrains along the fringe areas of the Assam-Meghalaya border. Besides, there are brick wall enclosures with roof sheds for the protection of the expensive and sophisticated RO systems.

Mukund Trivedy, Zonal Head, Stakeholder Engagement, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, also spoke on the occasion and said that they would continue to work towards making a meaningful difference in communities through partnerships and collective interventions. The inaugural function was attended by the teachers, students and officials of the school management committee.
