GUWAHATI: A decomposed body was found in a locked room in Beltola on Friday. The body is identified as that of Shahnawaz Malik. According to police sources, the decomposed body was found in a rented place near Beltola Bazaar. After the landlord got foul smell from the room, he informed the police.
According to sources, the deceased was staying in rent with his father. Few days ago, his father left for Bihar and he lived alone. The deceased ran a shoe shop.
