GUWAHATI: The Assam Police, led by DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, paid homage to IRBn Constable Hareswar Nath, the first COVID death in the State police force. Along with the DGP, many other senior officers were also present at the homage paying ceremony. The DGP said, "We've a help desk that enquires of the condition of all police COVID-19 positive twice a day. Nath was even asked about his health condition by the help desk on Thursday, and he reported that everything was alright. Till 10 am on Saturday, the State police force has 462 COVID-19 positive personnel and 900 others are in quarantine."
