Discussions held on various issues of SITA in Dispur

GUWAHATI: A meeting of State Innovation and Transformation Aayog (SITA) was held on Friday under the chairmanship of vice chairman Dipok Kumar Barthakur at his office chamber in Janata Bhawan, Dispur.

At the very outset, the vice chairman welcomed Paban Kumar Borthakur, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister and all officials present in the meeting.

Dr. K.M Bujarbaruah, advisor, SITA initiating the meeting highlighted the projects taken up by SITA for the current year and explained briefly about each project.

Paban Kumar Borthakur discussed with SITA officials about the various projects of the Aayog and emphasized the importance of careful selection of expertise including placement of the projects for the public to get the most benefit. He also discussed the other agenda of the meeting with the SITA advisors, relating to Tocklai Tea Research Institute, application of artificial intelligence in agriculture and digitilization of education in Assam.

While interacting with the officials of ASCARD Bank, he stated that the officials must take up the matter with the Cooperation department and if necessary at his level he will intervene in the matter.

The meeting was attended by SITA advisors - Dr. Mridul Hazarika and K.N Hazarika, member Dr. Nani Gopal Mahanta, chairman of Ascard Bank A. B Das, among others, stated a release.
