GUWAHATI: The DPC (Dispur Press Club) on Wednesday declared the list of winners in 19 categories for the year 2021 on Wednesday. The awards will be given away on October 3.

A DPC press release stated that the "Lifetime Achievement' Award has been conferred on renowned journalist and litterateur Kanak Sen Deka; 'Editor' Award on Dharjya Hazarika (Axomiya Pratidin); 'Photo Journalist' Award on Reba Kumar Bora (of Dainik Janambhumi); News Anchor Award on Manisha Barua (DY365); 'Sangbadik Sangothok Kalyan' Award on Abhidwip Choudhury (News Live); and 'Sangbad Bandhob' Award on Nabajit Patgiri (OSD to CM of Assam).

The other winners are: The 'Jeevan Sanjeevani" Award: Dr Raktim Pratim Tamuli (GMC&H); 'Udyogi Bota': (Sibsang Hatibaruah; Youth Politician Award: Jitu Borgohain (Asom Yuva Parishad); 'Jana Sewa Bota': Himangshu Das; 'Samaj Hitoyoshi Bota': Naba Kumar Deka — Litterateur and social worker; Actress Award: Amrita Gogoi; Actor Award: Siddhartha Sarma; Yuba Bandhu Bota: Gokul Barman; Bravery Award: Dharma Kanta Gogoi; Manab Sews Bota: Small tea grower: Krishna Sarma; Yuba Samaj Karmi (journalist Lakhi Prasad Deka).
