District Congress Decries Government’s Failure To Tackle Economic Crisis

GUWAHATI: Condemning the State and Central Government for their failure in taking any kind of fruitful action to tackle the issues of economic crisis, unemployment and also price hike of essential commodities over hundreds of Congress leaders and workers showed their resentment.

Guwahati City District Congress Committee in association with Pan Bazar, Chandmari, Zoo Road, Ulubari, Kalapahar, Bharalumukh, Maligaon and Jalukbari block congress staged the protest at Guwahati Rotary Club on Friday.

Including the State and Central government, the Congress workers also criticized Guwahati Municipal Corporation for their failure in case of proper implementation of pure drinking water scheme and also their failure in garbage disposal. They also blamed the government for spending public money in the name of Smart city project and unnecessary works.

Including the leaders of Pradesh Congress Babita Sarma, Juri Sarma Bordoloi, Ranjan Bora and many others the presidents of Block Congress Nirmal Sarma, Deepa Hazarika, Basudev Choudhury, Rashmi Das and Former Mayor Kushal Kumar Sarma participated in the Dharna programme.
