The EMRI GHS Team has taken certain emergency preparedness measures, like an increase in manpower in the emergency response centre based on the projected call flow during peak hours, which has already been initiated.

Dynamic placement of ambulances is planned near major emergency-prone areas to reach them faster. We have identified some hotspot zones for RTA cases. The top-10 identified hotspot areas for RTA cases are Baihata Chariali Kamrup Rural, Dhekiajuli Sonitpur, Paneri Udalguri, Belsor Nalbari, Circuit House Dibrugarh, Kaki Nagaon, Paikan Goalpara, Rongamati Golaghat, NH-37 Kamrup (M), Azara Kamrup Rural,

If the time to reach the scene is beyond 15 minutes, then EMT will keep the caller informed about the time to reach and obstacles faced (if any) in reaching the incident location. Areas under the corresponding police stations where accidents happened last year are provided. Ambulances catering to these areas will be kept on maximum alert during this period. Police officials and hospital authorities are already informed about the various support functions required by the 108 ambulance team during these days, stated a press release.
