GUWAHATI: As part of the ongoing “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”, NE Regional Office, Guwahati of M/s Engineering Projects (India) Limited (Govt. of India Enterprise), organized an Essay Writing Competition at Nongrim Byrni Presbyterian Secondary School, Byrnihat, Meghalaya on Monday, a press release stated.
The topic of the essay writing competition was “Contribution of Tribal Communities to Nation Building”. Students were allowed to attempt the competition either in Hindi or English whatever language is known to them. The students from Class VII to X standard took part in the competition.
The award distribution ceremony was organized on 29th March in the same school. Ravi Shankar Ravi, Chief Editor of Dainik Purvoday graced the occasion as Chief Guest who was welcomed and honoured by Sushil Kumar (General Manager, EPIL). The Chief Guest urged that ancestral values and folklores should be cherished and passed-on to the future generations. The Program was organized and conducted by Shailesh Sharma, Manager-HR (EPIL). He expressed his appreciation towards EPI’s Regional In-charge, Mukesh Thakur and School Management for their support and guidance.
