GUWAHATI: Former DGP of Assam Madan Ram Choudhury passed in the city on Saturday due to age related ailments. He was 93.
Choudhury had served as the DGP of the State from March, 1987 to February, 1988.
He was born on March 1, 1930 and joined the Assam Police as DSP in 1951.
He also served as the DG of Vigilance, Director of BIEO, IGP (Border) and MD of Assam Police Housing Corporation.
