GUWAHATI: A team of the West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) from the Gorchuk Police Station arrested one Bhanu Begum of Bongaigaon on Tuesday night after she was caught dealing in fake gold bars at Katabari to dupe people.
Police sources said that 4 kg of fake gold bars was seized from her possession, adding that a case (No 314/22) has been registered at the Gorchuk Police Station.
Bhanu Begum was produced in court today and forwarded to judicial custody.
