GUWAHATI: An inferno took place at a house in Bishnu Rabha Nagar in the Noonmati area on Wednesday morning. Bhanu Sarma was the owner of the house, and the family of Dev Sarma was his tenant.
According to sources, Dev Sarma went to drop his wife off at work while locking the door from outside when the mishap occurred. Later, with the help of the locals and fire tenders, the fire was extinguished, and the four-year-old child was rescued. It is suspected that the fire might have been caught either by agarbatti or earthen lamps.
