GUWAHATI: The Kamrup (Metro) district administration, as a part of its COVID-19 precautionary measures, allowed to door-to-door sale of local fish in Guwahati from April 10. The fish are being sold at the FISHFED outlet in Rupnagar and the rate of the category of fishes is as per the existing rate of the body. FISHFED is issuing passes to maximum five vehicles for carrying fishes.
Wholesalers will bring fish to three points – Uzanbazar, Pandu and Bhetapara through vehicles permitted by the Fishery Department and FISHFED, Assam.
The District Administration has accorded permission to Dipankar Trade Agency for home delivery of poultry and fish through online app “lockdown21.in” as per the rate fixed by the Livestock Development agency and the Director of FISHFED, Guwahati.
