'SWARNIM VIJAY VARSH' SEMINAR ON SEPTEMBER 21

GUWAHATI: To commemorate the 50th year of liberation of Bangladesh with victory in the 1971 War between India and Pakistan, the 'Swarnim Vijay Varsh' celebrations are being undertaken throughout the country. To mark the occasion and showcase the opportunities, a seminar with distinguished speakers from Bangladesh and India is being organised on the theme — 'Bangladesh and NE India: Into the rising Sun' on September 21 here.

The selected themes and sub themes are prognostic analysis rather than nostalgic one and are contemporary in nature.

This daylong seminar is being organised under aegis of the 'Eastern Command' and the 'Gajraj Corps'. The seminar will host many eminent and prolific speakers from various professions with varied experiences, who will deliver talks on many contemporary topics in line with the theme.

In this seminar, prominent and high-ranking officials from Bangladesh are delivering talks on very significant topics. The seminar will be conducted over two sessions and the talks will range from topics on economy, culture, water sharing, maritime, security and regional prosperity.

The "Swarnim Vijay Varsh" seminar will be an apt platform for the speakers and participants to explore and exchange ideas and views on the topics relevant to the theme for better understanding and coordination between the two nations in order to boost the relationship by focusing on people to people and Government to Government connect and realise the shared destiny and shared prosperity.

The seminar is being conducted at Assam Administrative Staff College, Guwahati. The Seminar would be telecasted live on the 'You Tube' Channel; and would be available for viewing by all including people of both India and Bangladesh.
