GUWAHATI: Acting on a tipoff, a joint team of the CGPD (Central Guwahati Police District) SOG (Special Operation Group) and Paltan Bazar Police Station apprehended four drug peddlers on Tuesday night.
The operations were conducted at the Gandhi Basti and the Kharghuli areas. The four apprehended drug traffickers are Ronak Pratim Mazumdar (37); Selim Ahmed (38); Idrish Ali (30); and Sushil Boro (52).
The following items were recovered during the joint operations, namely 5 gram of suspected heroin, 230 empty plastic vials, five soap boxes, and 42 Mobile phones Investigation is on to unearth further linkages.
