GUWAHATI, Jan 15: The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra (RJBTK), Assam on Friday inaugurated the ceremony of fund collection campaign for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The drive also commenced nationwide on the occasion of Makar Sankranti on Friday and it will continue till Magh Purnima on February 27. In Assam, the fund-collection drive will be conducted till January 30. It has been estimated that in Assam around 70,000 people will be covered under this campaign.
"Voluntary donation from people will be accepted for which coupons of Rs.10, Rs.100, and Rs.1000 will be available and from Rs. 2,000 slips will be provided to the contributors," said the trust.
The campaign was held in different parts of every district of the State including -Borduwa Than, Majuli Satra, Sivadol, Kamakhya Mandir, etc.
Union Minister Ajay Kumar Pareek, RJBTK vice president Dr. Munindra Mohan Deka, RJBTK president Parameshwar Dutta, among others were present on the inaugural ceremony at Panchajanya Bhavan in Guwahati.
