Ganja seized at Kamakhya Railway Station, two apprehended

GUWAHATI: A joint team of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) of Kamakhya Railway Station conducted an intensive drive against thefts, drugging and smuggling of contraband goods at Kamakhya Railway Station on Wednesday.

During the drive, the team apprehended two people identified as Nanda Ray (78) and Chandan Kumar Paswan (24), both hailing from Baisali district in Bihar.

The team seized four bags containing about 22 kg of suspected Ganja from B.P. Mail Express at Kamakhya Railway Station. The team handed over the seized items to IC GRP Kamakhya for further action.
