GUWAHATI: The Gauhati High Court on Tuesday directed the Assam Government to file an affidavit stating measures to lift suspension of internet service in the State. The court has fixed December 19 as the next date of hearing of the case. After hearing four PILs and considering the difficulties faced by people, a division bench of the high court issued the directive. The internet service across the State has been put on suspension since December 11 evening after the anti-CAA protests turned violent.
