GUWAHATI: The Gauhati High Court on Friday rejected the interim bail plea Bir Lachit Xena leader Shrinkhal Chaliha who was arrested for making provocative statements during the agitation against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
The high court has asked the police to submit the case diary against Chaliha on January 9. The CID of Assam Police recently registered a case (30/2019) against Chaliha on charges of making provocative statements against the CAA under Sections 120 (B)/121/120(A)/121(A)/122/123/143/147/148/150/152/153/153(A)/326/333/353 of IPC.
