GUWAHATI: Amidst the corona scare, the Physics department of Gauhati University has decided to conduct online classes.
The trial sessions were held on Monday and it turned out to be a success. If the technique works, then the classes will continue on a regular basis.
It is to be mentioned that the Assam government has directed all the educational institutions to not conduct classes as a precautionary measure to tackle coronavirus. Almost all the universities of Assam along with other educational institutes have suspended their classes till March 29. The Gauhati University had directed the hostel boarders to leave the campus. The idea of conducting the online classes was initiated by the HOD of Physics Department GU Dr. Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee.
