Gauhati University violence: Main accused untraceable

The main accused in the case where three Gauhati University (GU) students were injured when they were beaten up at a cricket match in the University playground on February 13, is untraceable.

GUWAHATI: The main accused in the case where three Gauhati University (GU) students were injured when they were beaten up at a cricket match in the University playground on February 13, is untraceable.

The case (187/21) has been registered at Jalukbari Police Station where Anuj Pratim Borah have been named as the main accused.

According to the police, along with Borah two other co-accused are also untraceable.

All the accused are Gauhati University Law College students of Hostel number AT-9.

Moreover, in connection to the case, the Jalukbari Police has registered the statement of Hostel number AT-9 prefect Pradipta Talukdar. The three victims who were assaulted are Sandeep Basumatary, Karuna Gogoi and Jewcharan Basumatary. Meanwhile, they are indergoing treatment and the further investigation is on.
