GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has allocated designated places to throw garbage on Friday. They strictly mentioned some places to not throw garbage in the city. As people are throwing garbage on roads and drains, the city has become a dumping site. Earlier, GMC initiates 'Don't throw garbage campaign' many times to remind everybody for proper use of garbage disposal, not throw garbage, where should we throw garbage, as well as explaining garbage problem in Guwahati. Throwing garbage on the drain is creating havoc as garbage dumping is very common nowadays.
Due to such bad habits, drains have become polluted at one time. GMC has listed the places to not throw garbage. Here is the list of places:
