GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) in association with Fire and Emergency Services started sanitization of maximum possible area under the city in a bid to tackle the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, from Tuesday evening. The corporation will try to cover the roads, shops, public parks, rubbish bins, public toilets, markets, supermarkets, hospitals, schools etc. The programme will be carried out for six days as part of its first phase. Further, the GMC has appealed to private water suppliers to continue their services during the lockdown period.
