The authorities of GMCH (Gauhati Medical College & Hospital) have suspended a pharmacist Mirza Mokibur Rahman on the charge of negligence of duty.

GUWAHATI: The authorities of GMCH (Gauhati Medical College & Hospital) have suspended a pharmacist Mirza Mokibur Rahman on the charge of negligence of duty.

Sources cinformed that a medical attendant who had gone to the GMCH's Central Pharmacy thrice to seek medicine for a patient from Dibrugarh was turned away by the pharmacist every single time on the pretext of non-availability of medicine.

After the matter came to light, the GMCH authorities formed a four-member inquiry committee to investigate the matter.

The committee will submit the report within 2 days.
