GUWAHATI: Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS), Assam will organize a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on “Innovative Bio-Design Research Collaboration” on December 12 at the GMCH Auditorium in the city.
The CME is being organized by the Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) in collaboration with IIT Guwahati. As informed by the Organising chairpersons Prof. (Dr.) Ajanta Sharma, GMCH & Prof. A. B. Kunnumakara, IIT Guwahati and Organising Secretary Dr. Himamoni Deka, Associate professor, GMCH, the coming CME will be the first of its kind in this region to encourage the researchers for innovative collaboration between engineering and medical sciences to invent new technology products for their implementation in patient care.
More than 300 delegates from different Medical colleges, IIT-Guwahati, Regional Dental College, Engineering colleges, Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU), Govt. Ayurvedic College, Govt. Homeopathy College and Regional College of Nursing have registered for the CME. Prof. D. Kacy Cullen, Dept. of Neurosurgery, University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Avijit Bansal, Founder Windmill Health & Inventor NeoBreathe, New Delhi and Mridusmita Choudhury, Restorative Therapies Group, Medtronic- Asia Pacific will be the Guest speakers for the CME.
