Government Railway Police recovered 3,400 kg areca nuts at Guwahati Station

Guwahati: Carrying out an operation in the Parcel Van of Train no. 13281 DN Rajendra Nagar Terminal at Guwahati Station at around 5pm, Government Railway Police was able to recover 40 gunny bags loaded with areca nuts of suspected Burmese origins. Each bag contained about 85 kgs of the contraband.
