GUWAHATI: The Government Railway Police (GRP) seized narcotics and gold from the 12423 Dibrugarh Town to New Delhi Rajdhani Express at the Guwahati railway station today.
Five bags containing a total of 93.7 kg of marijuana worth about Rs 47 lakh were recovered from the train. The consignment of narcotics was on its way to New Delhi from Dimapur.
A person, Dharmendra Kumar from Bihar, was arrested with four gold biscuits hidden under his belt on the train. The recovered gold is worth around Rs 30 lakh.
