Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that throughout history, the citizens of India have consistently risen to the occasion and served the nation with untiring valour and commitment. Their pivotal role in shaping the growth of India has been truly remarkable. From the valiant warriors like Rana Pratap and Lachit Borphukan to the visionary leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi and Veer Savarkar, every individual contributed immensely to the formation of the great Bharat.

The governor also said that, as the oldest student union in the nation, the ABVP has played an instrumental role in shaping India’s destiny. Throughout its journey, ABVP has consistently strived to foster unity. ABVP’s mission and vision have impelled it to ensure education for all, combat corruption, and eradicate poverty, among other things. The organization's commitment to these causes has had a profound and positive impact on society, paving the way for a brighter future for India and its citizens. The governor, highlighting the contributions made by ABVP, said that its demeanour towards nation-building is indeed significant. Its role in shaping the academic landscape of the country is indeed praiseworthy. However, in order to meet the challenges of today, ABVP should focus on the uplift of students and the underprivileged.
