GUWAHATI: Greed for property and extramarital affairs were the sole reasons behind the double murder case. If the sole purpose is not fulfilled by killing one, then the accused killed both of them. As per sources, this has been stated in the charge sheet filed against the three accused.
It may be mentioned that the police have already filed the charge sheet against the prime accused, Bandana Kalita, Arup Deka, and Dhonti Das. Three of them murdered Bandana’s husband, Amarjyoti Dey, and her mother-in-law, Sankari Dey. Arup Deka was a vegetable vendor, and Dhonti was a driver.
