GUWAHATI: Under the umbrella project named ‘Green India-Clean India’, initiated by the education wing of the Brahma Kumaris, the Guwahati branch of the organization located at Rupnagar organized plantation drive on Monday. The project started on July 10, 2019 and shall culminate on September 30, 2019 at Rajasthan and aims at planting atleast two lakh trees annually across various locations in India. According to a press release, the campaign plans to make people aware of the environmental issues that plague our mother earth. Also, as a spiritual organization, their main aim is to help people experience greater well-being through inner peace and universal values. In addition, the campaign aims to plant thousands of saplings of diverse varieties in Guwahati with contribution from people in schools and colleges, community groups, etc.
