GUWAHATI: The Government Railway Police recovered 13 gold biscuits weighing about 1.5 kg from the Guwahati-Agartala Deoghar Express at Guwahati Railway Station. In connection with this, the GRP arrested Amarnath Ashok Sawant, hailing from Maharashtra. According to sources, Amarnath confessed that one person gave him those gold biscuits from Agartala, and he was taking them to Maharashtra. He was just a carrier agent. In this connection, the GRP registered a case (200/2023) and is undertaking further investigation.
