According to NHM Assam, prevention is the key to the fight against JE. NHM believes that immediate medical treatment can save a life from a JE outbreak.

NHM Assam has given the following tips to prevent JE from occurring – using a mosquito net, smocking the house in the evening, wearing full-sleeved clothes and long pants, administering two doses of JE vaccines to children, and admitting patients to hospitals immediately.
