GUWAHATI: The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) of the District Transport Officer and Secretary, Kamrup (M) has asked all city bus owners to acquire e-ticketing machines and to provide e-tickets for travelling passengers. It said it would not allow city buses to ply the city roads without e-ticketing machines from November 1, 2022.
A notification issued today said that 'The RTA Board of Kamrup (M) has approved the fare enhancement of city buses for collection of fare from the travelling passengers as well as the issuance of fare ticket will be by E-ticketing machines. "It is general information to all owners and associations of city buses that from November 1, 2022, city buses will not be allowed to ply on the roads without e-ticketing machines for issuing e-tickets to collect the fare from travelling passengers," the notification said.
