As per the directives, the puja committee must get permission from the police station of the concerned areas for the Chhath Puja ghats. No dangerous areas or ghats will be allowed to be used for the puja.

CCTV cameras must be installed in all the ghats. The ghats must be illuminated with adequate lighting; no donations will be collected in the name of the puja; and a fitness certificate must be collected for the making of the mandaps or pandals. Equipment that emits loud sounds or music is not allowed. The cultural programmes must be completed by 10 p.m.

The volunteers should ensure that no one consumes alcohol or other intoxicants or enters venues. There is a strict ban on carrying devotees in light vehicles like autovans.

As per the additional DC, the administration will inspect the ghats to check that the rules are being followed or not. And a flying squad will be formulated to check on the ghats. On a cluster basis, vehicles from NDRP, SDRP, fire brigades, and ambulances will be arranged during the puja ceremony. The additional DC appeals that the public should follow the directives and conduct the puja peacefully.
