Guwahati Jal Board invites applications for new connections

The Guwahati Jal Board has invited applications from the public regarding new connections for water supply in three new locations. The announcement regarding the same came on the morning of Saturday over their social media channels.

GUWAHATI:The Guwahati Jal Board has invited applications from the public regarding new connections for water supply in three new locations. The announcement regarding the same came on the morning of Saturday over their social media channels.

The Guwahati Jal Board mentioned over its X handle, “Citizens of the mentioned areas are requested to apply for a hassle-free delivery of clean and hygienic drinking water directly to your homes under the JICA-assisted Guwahati Water Supply Project.” Alongside, it mentioned the locations of G S Road, from Ulubari to Paltan Bazar, the left side of G S Road, from ASEB Road to Ulubari Chariali, and in the Rupnagar/Birubari locality. The post also mentioned that interested people can apply for the doorstep supply of drinking water by registering on the official website, gmdwsb.in, or via their Android application mentioning that the applications are now open.

Previously, the Guwahati Jal Board had made another important announcement for 14 localities in Guwahati. Starting January 2, 2024, registrations for water supply connections are now open for these locations, including Fancy Bazar, Pan Bazar, Barowari, Silpukhuri, Latasil, the left side of GS Road from Mazar Road to Paltan Bazar, Bormotoria, Birubari, Rupnagar, Kharguli Hills, Hengrabari, Hirimbapur, Swaraj Nagar, and Downtown. Interested citizens were asked to register on the website or the mobile app.
