Guwahati Jal Board named for ‘Awarding Innovation by CIPS’

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Jal Board has been named for the Awarding Innovation by CIPS (Centre for Innovations in Public Systems) by the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI).

The Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water and Sewage Board, commonly known as the Guwahati Jal Board, has been selected for the awarding of innovations by CIPS in the information technology sector. This award has been given out by the Centre for Innovations in Public Systems of the Administrative Staff College of India for the Web-Based Water Supply Connection Registration and Payment System of the Guwahati Jal Board.

A letter from the Director General (In Charge) of the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Dr. Nirmalya Bagchi, to the Managing Director Pallav Gopal Jha, Secretary Panchami Choudhury, and OSD Anurag Rudra announced that the Guwahati Jal Board has managed to win this recognition. The same project has earned the board the noteworthy SKOCH award as well.
