Guwahati: Man Carrying Yellow Metallic Paste Inside His Body Nabbed At LGBI Airport

Guwahati: Security officials have detained a New Delhi-bound passenger at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport for carrying two capsules of suspected gold paste inside his body.

As per reports, the passenger, identified as Sahadul Umair, was nabbed by officials on Saturday.

He was caught at the security check on the way to board a Vistara flight to New Delhi on Saturday afternoon.

After questioning by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel, Umair admitted that he was carrying two rubber capsules containing a yellow metal inside his body.

The passenger later passed the two capsules, weighing in at 400 gems, naturally.

Later, he was handed over to Customs for necessary legal action. However, it is yet to ascertain the nature of the seized metallic paste.
