GUWAHATI: Officials from the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) undertook an operation on Friday against violators of regulations including the operation of businesses without proper trade licenses. The officials visited several businesses on Friday and fined some of them for the violation of trade license norms. They carried out operations in the Jockey and Lenskart showrooms of Ulubari as well as one Banik Medicos. The officials slapped a fine of Rs 500 on the Jockey showroom and Rs 2500 on the Lenskart showroom during this operation.
