GUWAHATI: The GMC (Guwahati Municipal Corporation) has floated six flying squads to look after cleaning of garbage and clogged drains in Guwahati. Each of the squad has six labourers and a supervisor. Each of the squad has an engineering division and a vehicle for carrying out the job assigned to it smoothly. The flying squad will work from Monday to Saturday.
GMC Joint Commissioner Siddhartha Goswami said: “Garbage collection will be over in the morning. The public may lodge complaints after the collection time is over.”
